For the first time in three years, the 16th Asian Film Awards will be presented at the Hong Kong Palace Museum's Horse Racing Club Auditorium on March 12.

Each year, the Asian Film Awards are presented by the Asian Film Awards Academy (AFAA), a group that was founded in 2013 by the Hong Kong International Film Festival, the Busan International Film Festival, and the Tokyo International Film Festival for the advancement of Asian films. These awards serve to honor and promote the best films produced in the Asian film industry.

Ji Chang Wook, an actor from South Korea, will reportedly get the Future Generation Award at the 16th Asian Film Awards. As a special prize in the non-competitive category, the Next Generation Award is given.
