The story revolves around a true event that caused a sensation: the discovery of a sunken ship off Jeollanam province in 1975, carrying a trove of artifacts.
Ji Chang Wook and Ryu Seung Ryong have been offered the roles of Hee Dong and Gwan Seok respectively. Their characters, portraying an uncle-nephew duo, will embark on a thrilling treasure hunt in "Pine," showcasing their chemistry and teamwork. The drama marks a collaboration between director Kang Yoon Sung and writer Yoon Tae Ho.
Details such as the streaming platform and release date for "Pine" have not yet been officially confirmed.
Should Ji Chang Wook's casting be confirmed, it would mark his fourth forthcoming K-drama.
