A Good Day to Be a Dog stands as a fantasy romance drama delineating the narrative of Han Hae Na. She carries a curse that changes her into a dog with a single kiss. Adapted from its namesake webtoon, the show is renowned for its distinctive premise and unforeseen turns within its compelling plotline.

Park Gyu Young, known for her versatile acting in works like Celebrity and Sweet Home across various genres, steps into the shoes of Han Hae Na, the cursed protagonist. Cha Eun Woo, recognized through projects like Island and My ID Is Gangnam Beauty, embodies Jin Seo Won, entwined with Han Hae Na's destiny but sharing an aversion to dogs.

Further enriching the ensemble, Lee Hyun Woo, whose acting spectrum shines in ventures like Money Heist: Korea - Joint Economic Area and films including Dream and Hero, portrays the character Lee Bo Gyeom. Behind his gentle smile lies a veiled enigmatic facet. The cast, adorned with these stars, heightens the excitement among potential viewers.

MBC has a history of slotting midweek once-a-week dramas, a precedent set by the Korean original SF anthology series SF8, which blurred the lines between film and drama, courageously adhering to the weekly format. Last year, the mystery drama Hunted graced screens weekly, lauded for its intricate narrative and skilled direction. MBC has also challenged the conventional daily drama approach, showcasing sitcom series like Dae Jang Geum Is Watching and Borg Mom on a weekly basis.

An MBC spokesperson mentioned, "MBC has consistently spearheaded trends in Korean dramas by adopting adaptable scheduling and an experimental mindset." They expressed, "A Good Day to Be a Dog brings a breath of fresh air as a romantic comedy enchanting weekday nights. With its compelling plot and characters, we confidently opted for a weekly release." The statement continued, "We will persist in broadening viewer options and consistently striving to deliver diverse and delightful content."

Meanwhile, A Good Day to Be a Dog concluded filming in April and presently undergoes post-production phases.
